RKD RIDE GUIDES · SAVE THIS CHECKLIST
Two motorcycles can share a name while using different parts. A change of generation, braking system or electrical setup can matter even when the replacement looks familiar. Use this worksheet before adding a part to your cart.
1. Identify the motorcycle
- Brand and complete model name
- Manufacturing year and generation, where known
- Engine capacity and exact variant
- ABS configuration or emission version when relevant to the part
- Changes from the original setup
If the registration year and manufacturing year differ, keep both available and say which is which. Avoid sending complete identity documents when the model details alone will answer the question.
2. Identify the part
Write down the function and the required location: front or rear, left or right, upper or lower. Copy any reference number carefully. Distinguish a manufacturer's part number from a seller's stock code; both can help locate a listing, but they do not mean the same thing.
Some reference numbers are replaced by newer ones. Ask whether a different number is a confirmed replacement rather than assuming the change is harmless.
3. Compare what matters for that component
- Body parts and brackets: shape, mounting holes, tabs, clearances and included hardware.
- Electrical parts: listed application, connector, pin arrangement and relevant electrical specification.
- Cables: end fittings, length and the existing control setup.
- Filters: element dimensions, sealing surfaces and airbox or housing application.
- Braking or suspension parts: have a qualified technician confirm the specification and mounting requirements.
Use photographs to support these checks. A visual match by itself is not confirmation of compatibility.
4. Check the quantity and the exact variant
One product page may offer several options. Read the selected option as well as the title. A single indicator, a rear pair and a full set are different purchases. Check whether the photograph shows everything in the package or illustrates a wider assembly.
5. Send one clear fitment question
You can use this format when contacting RKD:
Bike: [brand, model, year, variant]
Part required: [name and position]
Old part reference: [number, if visible]
Product I am considering: [product link]
Question: [the detail that needs confirmation]
Attach clear photos of the part label, mounting points and connector where useful. You can contact RKD Bike Accessories at 9079702764 or Sk9035382@gmail.com. Do not include payment-card details or passwords.
Use the right starting shelf
Browse Suzuki, Jawa, Royal Enfield or TVS parts, then verify the individual listing. If the key detail is still uncertain, wait for clarification before ordering.
